After coming back from Mato Grosso Do Sul i stayed mostly with Thiago- Nati's friend from highschool. Since he lives not "far" (only 3 hours from Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil everything is far) so I was travelling back and forth to Rio de Janeiro. First i stayed a couple of days with Thiago in Rio das Ostras. Relaxing to the empty beaches, eating good food and of course drinking caipirihna was of course delightful. One day Thiago even cooked for me. I am writting about it cause he was a bit dissapointed i never mentioned about my stay with him in Rio das Ostras. Anyway he cooked really delicious pasta especially for me and the whole thing with cooking was supposed to be an exeption cause he never cooks.
On Wednesday i travelled to Rio de Janeiro. Stayed again with talkative Carla and her charming dad, who showed me all samba school music from the past years. He was really adorable. On thursday was a sightseeing day. A big hill called 'Sugar Loaf' checked! Really nice view over the hills. The best thing you can do while sightseeing is to find a place where you see the city from above. Unforgettable sights ever.
Thursday night was enjoyable again cause i met Felipe - Kasia's flatmate from Lisboa, and his friends. I spent with them a night in a district called Lapa. Undoubtely, Lapa is the center of a vibrant boheman scene in Rio, with dozens of music clubs, bars and restaurants. A district that doesn't fall asleep even during the weekdays. We ended up in bar called 'Carioca da Gema'. This small, colorful club hosted on thursday night a lively samba band made of 10 different musicians and a singer. Samba, samba, samba...
Weekend in Cabo Frio and Buzios with Thiago was wonderful. This two little towns have wonderful beaches with white sand and crystal water. Besides staying the wole time with Thiago made the weekend special. He loves himself and i love myself toooo, we accept our small defects, even though he has more defects than i do. hahahahaha. Anyway i will miss him saying in polish 'wyskoczmy na drinka'. Buzios - a simple fishing village was discovered in early '60s by Brigitte Bardot and her brazilian boyfriend. Now it appears as Brazil' St Tropez with very fancy bars and clubs. So on saturday Thiago's friends came and we had apeared in one of the most trandy places in Buzios called 'Pacha'. I would never call myself a technofan but the club was amazing and the music didn't bother at all.
Now Rio das Ostras again. The last day... I will miss this little dirty city. But one more thing. Brazilians love BBQ so yestarday we were invited to Thiago's friends in Macae. One thing was wondering me the whole party... The guy who was throwing the party, actually his outfit. During the whole bbq he was wearing only underwear and a mask. It won't be strange if other people would be dressed up either but they were not!
Tomorrow changing the timezone, tequila boom boom oh yeaaaaaa Edy here i come!
